Posting Context Statement:

Position Overview:
The Scheduling Coordinator provides service to the academic community by working with departments to prepare the course schedule for each term and by assigning classroom space for all terms of the University. This position also supports summer session and registration. Duties include assisting faculty, students, and staff with course scheduling issues, grading, and registration questions/problems; working with scheduling software and systems; working with other Registrar Office staff to ensure excellent service to the University community and performing other duties as assigned. This position also provides assistance to the University Registrar by gathering data; synthesizing data and formulating results to assist in the development of effective scheduling practices and policy. As a member of the Office of the Registrar team, this position works cooperatively with others to achieve University and Office of the Registrar goals.

Required Experience:
  • Working in a customer service-oriented team environment to accomplish shared goals
  • Communicating accurate information within established deadlines

Required Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Other:
  • None

Additional Preferred:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in application
  • Experience in a registrars office or higher education
  • Knowledge of a Student Information System such as Banner
  • Knowledge of scheduling software
  • Experience interpreting, explaining and applying complex regulations such as FERPA and academic regulations


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move 50 pounds
