Position Summary:
The Reference and Electronic Resources Librarian is located at the University of Idahos Moscow, Idaho campus and works under the supervision and general direction of the Director of the Law Library. This position is responsible for the Law Librarys electronic resources management, policies, and decisions. Duties include, but are not limited to, working closely with the University Library to coordinate the Law Librarys participation in the University Librarys integrated library system, including EZ-Proxy administration; enhancing awareness of the librarys physical and electronic resources through the ExLibris Primo discovery service and the law library website; supervising the maintenance of Law Library specific electronic databases and resources, such as LibGuides, Digital Commons, and vendor study aid subscriptions; troubleshooting database connectivity issues; and monitoring ongoing changes with Title II digital accessibility compliance. . In addition, this position provides reference and research support services to law school students, faculty, staff, members of the University community, and the general public; teaches Introduction to Legal Research and other potential semester courses; prepares presentations, lectures, or other materials on specific legal research topics and use of the law library collection; and completes other duties as assigned. The Reference and Electronic Resources Librarian is expected to keep abreast of current trends and advances in all aspects of law librarianship, legal research, and legal education through active membership in professional associations. The Reference and Electronic Resources Librarian reports to the Director of the Law Library.

The College of Law and Law Library are located on the main campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. The College has a vibrant satellite campus in Boise, Idaho at which the Idaho State Law Library is located. The College of Law Library administers and manages the Idaho State Law Library pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding with the Idaho Supreme Court. The Law Library participates in the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a consortium of 37 academic libraries in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with access to over 28 million items.

Minimum Education/Degree Required:
JD from an ABA-accredited school required and one-year successful completion of an MLIS program from an ALA-accredited school or equivalent experience

Experience teaching or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in library and information science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited school or equivalent experience
