Position Summary:
The Department of English at the University of Idaho invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Global Anglophone Literature. This tenure-track position will begin Fall 2026 with a 2/3 teaching load at lower- and upper-division levels, including graduate classes. The candidate shall have a primary specialization in Global Anglophone Literature. Preferred additional specializations are British literature, Literatures of the Global South, Pre-WWI literature, and/or Digital Humanities.
The University of Idaho offers both a B.A. and a B.S. in English, as well as an M.A. in English and an MFA in Creative Writing. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses, responsibilities of this position include mentoring undergraduates and supervising graduate non-thesis projects. All faculty serve on committees at the department, college, and university levels. Continued scholarly activity and publication are expected for tenure and promotion.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in English or a related field
- Experience teaching Global Anglophone Literature at the post-secondary level
- A record of scholarly publications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialization in British literature, Literatures of the Global South, Pre-WWI literature, and/or Digital Humanities
- Documented history of promoting student engagement, success, and achievement
